ADACOM completed -upon request of the Ministry of Interior - the dispatch of Secure Signature Creation Devices (Smart Cards) and the corresponding readers (Smart Card Readers) towards the 300 members of the Greek Parliament and 70 General Secretaries, as a part of Syzefxis project.

In the following days, authorized members of the Certification Authority of Public Administration will deliver the smart card activation pins to the members of the Greek Parliament and the General Secretaries, enabling them to apply for the issuance of their digital certificates from the Public Key Infrastructure of Syzefxis. The use of digital certificates will enable them to encrypt and digitally sign emails and documents that are conveyed electronically, and additionally perform secure electronic transactions.

ADACOM, has implemented and has been hosting the Public Key Infrastructure of Syzefxis in the safe facilities of its Processing Center since 2006.  This infrastructure has the ability to issue 50.000 digital certificates, used for encrypting and digitally signing, covering the needs of the Hellenic Public Administration.
